Dr. Gwen Compton-Engle is Director of the University Core Curriculum and Associate Professor of Classics.  She earned her B.A. summa cum laude in Classics from St. Olaf College and her Ph.D. in Classics from Cornell University. When she is not signing student petitions, she teaches Latin, Greek, and classical literature and culture.  Her research interests are in ancient drama, especially Greek comedy.
