Visiting Assistant Professor - School Counseling & Counselor Education

The Department of Education and Allied Studies seeks applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor in School Counseling & Counselor Education. The individual filling this position will teach graduate School Counseling & Counselor Education courses emphasizing developing effective practitioners.

The Department of Education and Allied Studies is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) for all Initial and Advanced Licensure Programs and from Counseling and Counseling Related Educational Programs (CACREP) for School Counseling & Community Counseling.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned Doctorate (strongly preferred) or ABD in School Counseling preferably from a CACREP accredited program
- Valid license and experience as a School Counselor
- Valid license, or license eligible as a professional clinical counselor in Ohio (preferred)
- Ability to teach graduate courses in School Counseling & Counselor Education programs
- Experience with supervision of counseling practicum and internship candidates (preferred)
- Active participation in state/national organizations and related community organizations (preferred)
The Visiting Assistant Professor position is a one year faculty appointment with primary responsibility in teaching, and supervision of licensure candidates.
