Over the next three years, students would be expected to take an additional twelve hours of coursework focusing on issues of leadership and social justice. The majority of courses will fulfill university core requirements or perhaps major requirements (depending on field of study).

The sophomore year will focus on issues of social justice and includes a 1 credit hour practicum in spring semester that will provide service and leadership opportunities and the space to reflect on them.

In the spring semester of junior year, students will have the opportunity to work closely with civic, business and community leaders to develop leadership skills through an internship and classroom discussions.

The senior year requires a capstone course to connect leadership and social justice and requires a project to share with the university community what they have learned.

Academic Advising:
Dr. Finucane and Dr. Bowen will serve as the academic advisors for students participating in the learning community and will ensure that students meet program requirements.

In addition, we are available during summer orientation for consultation.
