In about 250 words, discuss your current understanding of Jesus. You can address questions such as the following, but feel free to include anything you deem important.

  1. Have you ever studied Jesus' life and/or teaching? If so, when? In what context? For what purpose?
  2. Have you ever learned Christian doctrine about Jesus? If so, when? In what context? For what purpose?
  3. What do you know about Jesus?
  4. What do you think about Jesus?
  5. Is there anything specific you'd like to know about Jesus by the time you complete this class? If so, what?

This essay will be graded on the basis of quality and clarity of expression—including proper format, spelling, punctuation, etc.—but not on the extent of your knowledge of Jesus or the biblical materials.
