Register with the Center
for Service and Social Action. The instructor eventually will be notified
by the CSSA that you have elected this project, but it will expedite matters
if you drop me a note to that effect. Begin creating
your project webpage on the Blackboard. |
during the second week of the semester...
|
Attend the mandatory one-hour service-learning orientation. See the CSSA for times.
You should be able to register and choose your placement during
this session. If you participated in a service-learning placement in the
Fall semester, and if you attended the required orientation session at
that time, you do not need to attend this session. You simply can register for your placement.
If you will be arranging your own service-learning placement, you still are
required to attend one of these orientation sessions unless you already did
so in the fall. In addition, you must complete the special form for such projects
and receive approval from both the Instructor and the Director of the CSSA.
Also note that you may need to complete VIRTUS Training if you will have contact with children
in schools, parishes, and programs of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. |

- Abstract of project description posted as first entry under your SJP BBDB

Draft your SOCIAL-JUSTICE
PRAXIS Report, including your integrative reflection. Review the SJP
Evaluation Protocol to be sure you are on the right track. |

Soteria/SJP rough draft due. By now you should have at least six hours of service validated
by the CSSA and six journal entries posted on your SJP BBDB thread |
| Easter break |
Finish your SOCIAL-JUSTICE
PRAXIS Report, including your integrative reflection. Double-check the SJP
Evaluation Protocol to be sure you have it right. |
| 4/15 |
Final SOCIAL-JUSTICE PRAXIS Report due.
You still have ten days to complete your hours and your journal entries. |
| 4/25 |
Tenth and last journal entry due on your SJP
BBDB thread.
Final PPT or web-page due on BB
ALL time sheets due to the CCS. Be sure that
they have the final evaluation from your project supervisor. |
