1. Summarize each author's response.
2. How does each author's putative social location affect her/his response?
3. How central is the teaching of Jesus to each of the responses?
4. What are the pros and cons for each of these responses?
5. Which responses exclude the possibility of compromise? Which ones permit it?
6. Taking into account all the pros and cons for each response, and also the way in which the Jesus-tradition was (or was not) used in generating that response, what does your group think Jesus would say is the best course of action? What evidence can you adduce in support of this assessment?
