Deliberative Rhetoric

A mode of persuasion which uses the characteristic topics (topoi) of honor and advantage. A deliberative speech is an "embellished" statement of facts, with great vivacity, to persuade the audience of the honor and advantage that will accrue to them if they choose to initiate a particular mode of action for the future.
