Forensic Rhetoric
Forensic or judicial rhetoric uses the characteristic topics (topoi)
of guilt and innocence. A forensic speech is an "embellished" statement
of facts, with great vivacity, to persuade the audience of the guilt or
innocence of a person or group in regard to a particular action in the
past. It is the rhetoric of a criminal law court.
