Resources for Pauline Studies

SEMINAR MEMBERS: One of the most frequently overlooked set of course resources is the seminar group itself. Remember that these folks can help you a lot -- and that you can help them, too.

GRASSELLI LIBRARY: The RL consultant at Grasselli is Melodie McMahon. Look her up in the reference section—at the desk, not in the stacks! :-)

REQUIRED TEXTS: The Bible! Yes, it is true, we actually will read Paul's letters and other pertinent Biblical materials. The best English editions of the Bible are: The New Oxford Annotated Bible with Apocrypha (NRSV); the Oxford Study Bible (REB); and the Catholic Study Bible (NAB). For additional required readings, see the syllabus.

REFERENCE TOOLS:

BACKGROUND READINGS : Students with limited background in Second Testament study are encouraged to consult one or more of the following texts. In particular, these books may be helpful to those students who are uncertain about the historical background mentioned in the Assumptions concerning this course. In addition, there are a plethora of internet resources available through my Pauline studies page and the JCU Bible site.
