Baptism v. Boundaries
Jacqueline and Fred Forrest have been attending St. Gertrude's parish for five
years. They have been active participants in the parish, and they make regular
financial contributions. Just before their first child was born, the pastor
of St. G's was transferred and a new one appointed. The new pastor, Fr. Twit,
refused to baptize the Forrests' baby because they do not live within the parish
boundaries. He claims they belong in the neighboring parish, St. Mary of the
Cadillacs. Was Fr. Twit right in doing this?
