SEMINAR GRADING

Specific grading criteria for each assignment are the same for undergraduates and graduate students, although a superior quality of work is expected from students taking the course for graduate credit in comparison to undergraduates.

DISTRIBUTION

15% APPA (Attendance, Preparation, Participation, and Attentiveness)
15% 1–2 Critical Reviews and an original epistle or gospel selection; with the instructor's approval, a film critique may be substituted for one of these assignments
05% Class presentation of one of your critical reviews (5–7 minutes)
05% Peer review of second draft of another seminar student's paper
05% Oral response (5–7 minutes) to another seminar student's project presentation

60% Final Exegetical Research Project or Site Study (or, in Pauline seminars, a "St. Paul at the Movies" Project)
- 05% Proposal (150-word précis plus preliminary bibliography (min. 10–12 entries)
- 05% Sentence outline (undergraduates; 2–3 ssp) or Annotated Bibliography (graduate students; 12–15 entries)
- 05% Rough Draft
- 05% Second Draft
- 30% Final Draft
- 10% Class presentation of Project
