Welcome to the Center for Community Service!
The Center for Community Service at John Carroll University coordinates service work within our local, national, and international communities through a variety of programs and with a variety of foci.
Service-learning programs are those in which student learning objectives, faculty criteria, and community partner needs all intersect within the act of service. Voluntary service allows JCU students, faculty, administrators, and staff to volunteer for service on a weekly or project basis with a program of particular interest to them. Service Immersion Experiences are typically week-long opportunities that allow participants to explore current social, political, and cultural realities through direct service, experiential learning, and reflection. Service Projects are typically one-time events; they provide a great introductory experience to those new to service!
