EthiCola

EthiCola is a Windows program to help students learn about moral philosophy. It goes with three of my Routledge ethics books: Ethics: A Contemporary Introduction (2011 & 1998), Formal Ethics (1996), and Ethics and the Golden Rule (2013). Click here for EthiCola's download page and setup program.

Smaller Windows Programs (click to save to your computer - no installation needed):

• Windows Editor: like Notepad but with more features (71 KB, last modified Aug 13, 2010).
• Grades: a useful grading program (52 KB, last modified Aug 13, 2010).
• Timer: to remind you of a meeting or wake you up from a nap (68 KB, last modified Jan 20, 2010).
• Genesis: an anthropic-principle game, to illustrate the fine-tuning argument for the existence of God (65 KB, last modified Sep 4, 2009).
• Primes: a prime-number generator (12 KB, last modified Sep 4, 2009).

Old 16-bit Windows Programs (copy to your computer and unzip):

• MOO menu system (Sep 11, 1999) for Windows 95 (and still on many Web sites). Vista and Windows-7 have something similar, where you just type the beginning of the program that you want to run.
• Kaleidoscope Screen Saver (Nov 1, 1998).
• Windows Editor (Feb 24, 2000).
• Tic-tac-toe game (Jan 1, 2003); if you set it to the highest level, you can't beat it.
• LogiCola and its score processing program (2003) - includes vintage DOS and 16-bit Windows versions.
• MultiCola - a 1998 predecessor of EthiCola, with modules for my Ethics and Formal Ethics books and a score processing program - includes vintage DOS and 16-bit Windows versions.

Notes:

I wrote the old programs in Turbo Pascal for Windows and for DOS. I wrote the newer programs in 32-bit Pascal (CodeGear Delphi without VCL) and compressed them using UPX.
