Other philosophy department news

In fall 2009, Michael Eng (who finished his PhD at Binghamton in 2007 and specializes in aesthetics) and Simon Fitzpatrick (who finished his PhD at Sheffield in the UK in 2006 and specializes in philosophy of mind) joined the philosophy department.

In fall 2007, Dianna Taylor became chair of the philosophy department.

In fall 2006, Joseph Buckley retired after teaching in the department for 45 years (since 1961).
