What is Cultivating Community

By registering for AR290 Cultivating Community in spring 2008, you're signing on to spend a semester learning about the economic, political, historical, and religious complexities of an urban neighborhood in Cleveland. The class explores issues of poverty in urban communities. Earn academic credit and learn to make a difference in people's lives. The class culmintates in a service day when students work with Hough neighborhood residents build a community garden and work with St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School to prepare for spring.

This is a three-credit hour interdisciplinary course offered on Tuesdays from 2:00 to 4:45 pm. The class meets on and off campus (transportation provided).
