I graduated from John Carroll in 2004, and as a student, I was definitely able to benefit from all that JCU has to offer. The small class sizes, diverse academic programs and faculty devoted to students' success all contribute to a positive educational experience. Additionally, the convenient location of John Carroll to downtown Cleveland gives students tons of access to research and internship opportunities. Plus, when you're looking for something to do on the weekends, it's really easy to get tickets to a play, make a trip to the Art Museum, or catch a ballgame at Progressive Field! Come visit campus for yourself and see if John Carroll and the city of Cleveland are a good fit for you.

Jesuit education has been a significant part of my life for over 20 years. A proud alumnus of Walsh Jesuit High School, I went on to John Carroll University and earned a BSBA in Marketing in 1995. After spending some time out in the corporate world, I was looking for a change and made my way back to my alma mater to work in the Office of Admission. It was here that I found my calling and passion, and I still feel the same today. Along the way I picked up my MBA in 2001 from the Boler School of Business.

I thoroughly enjoy working with high school students and helping them with one of the biggest decisions they will make – choosing the right college. On top of that, I have the privilege of talking to students about how special and unique John Carroll is. I am here to help, so please contact me with any questions.

Why did I choose JCU, and what do I love best about it? For one, nobody does education better than the Jesuits. In addition, the size of the student body, the campus atmosphere, Cleveland (go Browns, Tribe, and Cavs!), the sense of community, the strong academic focus, and the wealth of opportunities make the list.

I was very well prepared for all that life has thrown, and will throw, at me. I couldn't have asked for a better education. I was grounded in the facts, but more importantly I was taught and challenged to see the world from different perspectives, to constantly strive for excellence, and to be a leader and find ways to utilize my talents and strengths to serve my community and make this a better world.

I encourage you to come visit us. I know you won't be disappointed.

Once I moved onto a college campus my freshmen year, I have never left.  I have worked in college admission, financial aid and other areas as a career for fourteen years.  Coming to Cleveland from New England this past summer, I wondered about the “right fit” in moving to a new part of the country.  It has reminded me about all the same questions that students go through in the admission process – Will I like it here? Will there be people like me? Is there anything to do on the weekends? After a year, I can sincerely say that this campus, the people and this region grow quickly on you.  John Carroll is a special place to be. There is something in our culture here that sets us apart. I think it’s a mixture of the Ignatian way of the campus with a little Midwestern hospitality thrown in. “How can we help?” is a phrase that is part of our culture – it’s about being in service to others and helping make sense of the admission and aid process.  We are here to tell you the John Carroll story, introduce you to a great city and a great campus to consider in your college search.

I keep connected with home by reading applications and helping all students from New England considering John Carroll and also work with a few local high schools here in Cleveland personally.  It has been easy to jump on the bandwagon with the Blue Streaks, The Indians and the Cavaliers, but, a big part of me will always be part of Red Sox nation!
