Service
It's no accident that John Carroll University is located near Cleveland. Our commitment to social justice dovetails with the challenges facing many of the city's communities. Every Friday night, volunteers for the Labre Project fill two vans with food, which they offer, along with fellowship, to the city's homeless population.
The Carroll-Cleveland Philosophers' Program is a collaboration between John Carroll students and seventh- and eighth-graders from Cleveland inner-city schools. Our students, faculty, and staff tackle environmental projects, community development, hunger and healthcare issues, as well as provide affordable housing advocacy. They work one-on-one as mentors and tutors. And that just skims the surface.
