Hello Class of 1991! As this is being written, our ten-year reunion is fast approaching. I hope as many classmates as possible will be able to attend. Our class set a JCU attendance record five years ago and it would be great to see many more familiar faces this year. Before we get to the updates, I have a small request. John Hendricks and Mark Waner have created a great website for our class and would like to include as many e-mail addresses from the class members as possible. To be added to the list please go to the 1991 site in the Alumni Section of www.jcu.edu and send a brief note giving permission to post your address. It will be a great help for future JCU-related activities. I’ll start the updates with a small item on myself. I recently spent a day as an extra on the set of a major motion picture filming in Cleveland called "Welcome to Collinwood," which stars William H. Macy, Michael Jeter, and George Clooney. It was a fun experience to see what happens behind-the-scenes. Look for the film in 2002. Missy Butler is pleased to announce the birth of her second child, Sarah who was born in January 2001. Tine Kaminsky writes to announce her engagement to Daniel Guggenheim. Both are employed by Salomon Smith Barney. Tine’s busy life includes volunteering, wedding preparations, and devoting time to Jeffrey, her future stepson. Preparations for the class reunion swung into high gear in February. Those present for the committee meeting were Meghan Fay Roddy, Sam Siao Strathern, John Hendricks, and Nancy Anya Robida. Nancy had a stack of news to pass along. She reports Sam Siao married John Strathern (JCU 1990) in August 2000. The wedding party included Nancy along with Meghan Roddy, Pam Schwab Rozic, and Mary Collins Szablowski. The reception was like a mini-JCU reunion as attendees included: Judy and AJ Quinn, Erin and Rob Gauchat, Ellen Evans, Jill Luppino McIlvain, John Reali, and Mike Rozic. Laura Friel Haggerty and husband Brian (JCU 1990) missed the wedding as they were awaiting the birth of a son, Jack. Greg Robida recently ran the Chicago Marathon. JB Schnieder and wife Michelle recently had a baby girl. Beth Robinson Richter also has a daughter, Leah, and they live in Orchard Park, NY. Tom Bluemle lives in Buffalo, NY. Scott Vahue works for M&T Bank and is enjoying his two daughters. Jill Luppino McIlvain resides in Washington, PA and works for L’Oreal Cosmetics. She has a baby named Meg. Ronald Zucca is teaching Math at Euclid High School where he also serves as Varsity Softball Coach. He has three children: Jay (6), Alex (4), and Josie (3). Janine O’Deens has worked for Progressive Insurance for six years. She is in Michigan and has two kids: Ryan and Rose. Vicki Weber Ibaugh welcomed her first child, Eric William in September 2000. Patrick Pelleschi and wife Katrina live in Long Beach, CA and are pleased to announce the birth of son Conor Joseph in August 2000. Patrick works for CIGNA and is pursuing his MBA at Pepperdine. Mary Collins Szablowski regrets she is unable to attend the June reunion as she is moving to Atlanta during the summer and expecting her second child in July. Danielle Melin Milam is celebrating eight years of marriage to husband Tony. They have two children: Emily and Michael. Danielle is a Key Account Manager for The Holms Group, a manufacturer of household appliances based in Milford, MA. She works from home, but frequently travels to New York and Boston. The Class of 1991 has been most fortunate that so many have volunteered to be on the Reunion Committee. Among those who will return to campus: Rob Rigsby, Robert Schaefer, Tara Lavelle, Maura Sweet, Lydia Bourke, Loretta Jolliffe, Anne Marie Coyne, Carol Kovach and Colleen Sommerfeld. We are also compiling funds to include as part of our class gift to JCU. The university is grateful to those who have already contributed.
