In celebration of Father Joseph Schell's 90th birthday and 60th anniversary as a Jesuit priest, thet issue carries a full-page photo on the inside front cover. In his editor's column Jerry Pockar noted that, despite not feeling his best, Father Schell graciously posed for photo after photo, the signature smile never leaving his face.
