  • What else is there to do during the day? We offer a wide variety of educational and recreational classes.  Watch for the schedule of events.

  • Are my children/grandchildren welcome to attend? Yes! We have a fantastic Camp Carroll program for children 18 years and under. Children are divided and participate in age-appropriate activities throughout the weekend. Past activities have included magicians, rock climbing and rappelling, trips to Whirly Ball/Laser Tag and much more.

  • If I choose to stay on campus, which residence hall will I be staying in? Residence Hall assignments are still being worked on. The assignments below are tentative.

(Towels and sheets are provided in the dorms)
    • Classes of 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973: Millor Hall

  • If I choose to stay off campus, what hotels have JCU rates?  Identify yourselves with John Carroll University Reunion Weekend to ensure the special group rate for one of the following hotels.  Be sure to make your reservation before June 1, 2007 (*rates subject to change)
    • Hilton Cleveland East Beachwood- $109 per night- 1-877-865-5324
    • Cleveland Marriott East - $119 per night - 216-378-9191

  • How about the weather?  Reunion Weekend temperatures have ranged from the low 40s to upper 90s. Cleveland weather is, to say the least, unpredictable.  Check the forecast in advance so that you will know what clothes to bring.

  • Anything else I should bring?  Bring swimsuits and/or exercise apparel if you plan to use the recreational facilities and pool.  Kids are encouraged to bring a swimsuit since they will have scheduled swim time. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.  We also suggest bringing a fan, alarm clock, hangers and additional towels.

  • What's the child to Camp Carroll counselor ratio? There is generally one counselor for every four to six children. There are also two head counselors who oversee the entire Camp Carroll program. In addition, the counselors maintain a 24-hour watch in the residence hall office, to handle any situations that may arise. In Day Care, there are two head Day Care supervisors and additional counselors.

  • In the event of illness or injury, what happens? University Heights Fire/Rescue and EMS crews are stationed three blocks away. We are also minutes away from a MedCenter, and approximately eight to ten minutes away from a hospital. Campus Security also has a direct line with local 911 operators.

  • Can I room with a classmate?  Indicate on your reservation form who you want to room with or near. You will NOT be assigned a roommate unless you specifically request one. We can also request to room next to someone.  We need requests before June 1, and make sure that the other person is signed up for Reunion, too!

  • Where's the nearest bank? A Huntington Bank ATM machine is located right inside the Atrium of the Student Center. A second ATM is located on the lower level of the AD building across from the Einstein’s Bagel. These machines do withdrawals only, and do charge a fee per transaction. In addition, Huntington Bank has a branch on Fairmount Circle, one block away from the John Carroll campus.

  • I'd like to make sure that the Alumni Office has up-to-date information about me. How can I do that? You can update your record on-line, or you can check with the Alumni Office. They can verify if your information is correct.
