TEACHING SUPPORT AWARDS
The University provides a variety of opportunities to full-time tenured and tenure track faculty in support of professional development. The Associate Academic Vice President for Academic Programs and Faculty Diversity serves as the Coordinator of Faculty Development, awarding teaching and course development fellowships; funds for the development of new or alternative teaching strategies and methods, course materials, and travel to teaching conferences; and, on occasion, the Fellowship in Academic Leadership. The increasing number of awards in recent years, and the number of teaching awards, indicates the commitment of the University to professional development.
