As Associate Academic Vice President, my responsibilities include:  monitoring information on faculty tenure, promotion, and salary; preparing and issuing the annual faculty self-evaluation forms, faculty contracts, and guidelines for the third-year tenure reviews and the tenure and promotion dossiers; updating the Faculty Bibliography; editing the Undergraduate Bulletin; assisting international faculty on visa issues; and overseeing the Center for Career Services, the Office of Sponsored Research, the Institutional Review Board, and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. 

I also serve as the Equal Employment Opportunity coordinator for faculty and help prepare the university’s annual Affirmative Action Plan.  In addition, the New Faculty Orientation falls within my purview, as does a variety of space-related issues within the academic affairs division.
