RL 399/ HS 396/ SC 399: Culture and Community in Northern Ireland: Peace Building and Conflict Transformation


Interdisciplinary course taught by two or more faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences which focuses on the dynamics of political, social, and cultural change in Northern Ireland. Specific emphases will vary from year to year, typically including topics related to the construction of religious, ethnic, national, and transnational identities; articulations of difference; the roots of violence; processes of peace-building and conflict transformation; and issues of justice.
