I believe in being a daughter. A bond between a daughter and her parents is valuable to me. It is something that cannot be replaced.
Some say a mother and her daughter have the strongest bond of all. Besides the obvious, caring about clothes, shoes, accessories, and other fashionable items, they share the nurturing gene every woman has. They both learn from each other through their love and compassion towards one another. Whether the daughter is a toddler, young adult, or a mother herself she needs her mother's opinions and suggestions. A mother is a daughter's best friend. Since the daughter's birth, they were both drawn together. The bond will always remain. Although the bond between a mother and daughter is strong, the bond between a daughter and her father I believe is more powerful.
The bond a father and daughter share will give the daughter the self-esteem she needs to last a lifetime. A father can help his daughter recognize her positive traits. The father encourages the daughter's ability to play sports or succeed in school. My father encouraged me to work hard in school. He wanted me to have a great future. Therefore, he pushed me and gave me the encouragement I needed to succeed.
I believe in being a daughter and I believe I am a good daughter. I have always known I have had a special bond with both my parents. My bond with my mother is strictly “girly stuff”, where my bond with my father is completely different. My father and I share many common attributes. Besides the both of us acting and looking identical, we have a connection unlike any other. When my knee hurts so does
his or daddy has a headache I feel one coming on as well. I am the typical “daddy's little girl”. When I am upset, have issues, or need to talk to someone it is him who I turn to. I believe I have to live up to my responsibilities of being a daughter whatever that may include. Being a daughter means so much to me and I am so lucky to have my wonderful parents. I hope to someday have a daughter of my own so I can teach her how amazing being a daughter can truly be.
