Biology Club

The Biology Club was organized in 1995. It is open to all students interested in the biological sciences. Field trips to local sites, white water rafting, assisting in elementary classrooms, plants sales and guest speakers are some of the activities offered each year.

 

 

Purpose

To promote the interest and study in Biology to the students of John Carroll University, and aid in the understanding of the importance of Biology in everyday lives.


Services

1. To work in conjunction with Alpha Epsilon Delta and expand the hours available for tutoring Biology students in their respective Biology classes.

2. To scientifically identify the trees and flowers that decorate the John Carroll University perennially, creating and maintaining informative nature walk for visitors, students, employees, faculty, and community members.

3. To provide the collection, containment, and recycling of paper in the Dolan Center.

4. To organize an outing centered around the themes of Biology once a semester, available to Biology Club members and non-members.

5. To create and maintain a Biology display in a showcase of the Dolan Center.

6. To offer programs on careers in Biology for students at JCU
