Woodlake Environmental Field Station

In partnership with the department of Biology, Geology and Environmental Sciences at Cleveland State University, the National Park Service and CSU's Center for Environmental Science, Technology and Policy, the Department of Biology at John Carroll University developed the Woodlake Environmental Field Station located within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in nearby Peninsula, Ohio. The station is intended to facilitate long-term, on-site research and will be an excellent educational resource for field exercises in ecology, geology and environmental biology. An old field, wooded areas, a small stream and beaver pond are among the habitats available for study on the station grounds and other areas within the park are easily accessible from this central location.
