Dr. Schirm’s research interest has focused on topics in asset price
adjustment to macroeconomic performance measures, the pricing of equity
warrants, daily variation in asset returns in U.S. and international markets,
and issues in financial reporting. His research has been published in
book chapters and academic journals that include Journal of Business;
Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money;
Journal of International Money and Finance; Journal of Money, Credit and
Banking; Journal of Portfolio Management; Strategic Finance; The CPA Journal;
The Journal of Accounting Case Research; The Financial Review; and other
academic journals. He is also co-editor of Global Portfolio Diversification,
Academic Press, 1995. From 1994 – 2000 he was assistant editor of
Financial Practice and Education.
Dr. Schirm has participated in management training programs at Glidden,
Johnson & Higgins, Society Bank and National City Bank. He also participated
in a curriculum integration project using enterprise software at John
Carroll University.
