Dr. Karen Schuele's primary teaching interests include accounting information systems and financial accounting.

A CPA, Dr. Schuele has published articles in The Journal of Accountancy, The Accounting Educators Journal, and The Financial Review. She is active in numerous professional organizations including the American Institute of CPAs, the American Accounting Association, and The Ohio Society of CPAs. Dr. Schuele serves on the Audit and Finance Committee for the City of Shaker Heights School System, is the treasurer for Christ Episcopal Church and served on the Executive Board of the Ohio Society of CPAs.
