Business Leadership Speaker Series for Wednesday, April 30th
The Boler School is proud to welcome Marcia Mauter, Executive Director of the Institute for Creative Leadership, to discuss what it takes to be a great leader and make for efficient teams. Ms. Mauter will share her experiences from Northeast Ohio's oldest and most respected training organization, which has served over 60,000 participants from over 500 corporate and community sector organizations. Those who are interested in different working relationship difficulties and elements that hinder team effectiveness would certainly be ahead of the game with the knowledge they could take away from Ms. Mauter. If you haven't attended a Leadership Speaker Series event yet this year, don't miss this one; it will be the last of the semester!
Thanks for a successful Boler Community Day!
On Friday, April 11th, over 100 students, faculty, and staff members of the Boler School of Business performed service in different areas around Cleveland. See the information they were given below to learn a little about what kind of tasks our men and women for others completed:
1. St. George’s Church: Interior and exterior maintenance and cleaning. Painting a possibility, and wood cleaning a definite.
2. MedWish: Assist in collecting, organizing, and distributing second-hand medical supplies to countries in need all over the world!
3. Men’s Shelter: Help to clean and spruce up furniture to prepare for the opening of a new apartment complex.
4. St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary: Pair off with several grade school kids from St. Thomas Aquinas to show them a day of fun-filled events at JCU.
5. Cleveland Lakefront State Park: Perkin’s beach constantly collects garbage and litter. We’re going to take a vacation to the beach to clean it up. Bring gloves and trash bags!
