Christmas at Carroll
At Breakfast with Santa on December 2, more than 140 children and one adult clambered onto one of the very best places to be at this time of year: Santa's lap. You could feel the joy of the season as alumni and their little ones congregated in Schott Dining Hall for a John Carroll community Christmas celebration.
The kids posed and pleaded with Santa, but they and their parents also served like the Magi, by bringing more than 250 gifts for children at the Fatima Family Center, a neighborhood outreach center serving Cleveland 's Hough neighborhood, run by Catholic Charities.

Less than a week later, the halls were decked and the spirit of the season found its voice as members of the John Carroll community gathered on Saturday, December 8, for Christmas Carroll Eve.

The annual tradition featured a concert in Kulas Auditorium, carols on the Quad and a reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” a tree-lighting ceremony, Mass at Gesu, and a midnight feast.

Earlier in the week, more than 150 John Carroll students participated in the “Through the Eyes of a Child” event on campus – an annual Christmas party for second and third graders from Buhrer Elementary School in Cleveland .

This year marked the 13th “Through the Eyes of a Child” event sponsored by Circle K, a JCU student service organization.
