Alan R. Spachman, founder and chairman of National Interstate Corporation.
Mr. Spachman founded National Interstate Corporation in 1989, and served as president and CEO from 1989- 2007. He directed the company’s evolution from a single product passenger insurer to a multi-line publicly traded entity. Mr. Spachman holds a B.S. and M.B.A from the University of Rhode Island.
National Interstate Corporation is a specialty property and casualty insurance holding company focused on the transportation industry, an independently operated subsidiary of American Financial Group. National Interstate Corporation is headquartered in Richfield, Ohio.
