WHO:	YOU! Please call in during your favorite show to pledge your support for free, local, non-commercial and non-corporate radio.
WHAT:	The goal of this Radiothon is to raise $40,000.
WHY:	Only a successful “Radiothon 2008” will maintain and improve WJCU in a way that accommodates vital services such as: Improved web presence, podcasting & playlisting More opportunities to here from under-represented voices of our community with new community-based arts and public affairs programming
	Last year, almost all of the $32,000 dollars raised went into improving WJCU’s digital infrastructure. This involved creating a dedicated fiber-optic link across to the university’s IT facility, and installing a new server, 5 new personal computers,  as well as new network switches and routers that have allowed us to upgrade our webstream, and launch a special events streaming channel. WJCU is on a fixed “university budget,” which is used for rapidly increasing daily operating expenses.
