In August 2001, Julie Zajac, a John Carroll University student-athlete, succumbed to her battle with cancer nine months short of graduation.  The winner of the 2000 Marcia French Award for the outstanding female track athlete in the Ohio Athletic Conference, Julie was also a model student.  This annual event, sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, raises money for the Julie Zajac Foundation.   Through fundraising efforts like this run, the John Carroll Track will be named in Julie’s honor in a pre-race ceremony.

• The course starts in front of the Don Shula Sports Center and finishes on the university track.  Location: John Carroll University, 20700 N. Park Blvd, University Heights, OH  44118
  (The Don Shula Sports Center is located off of Belvoir Road on the east end of campus.) 
  
  
• Registration begins at 7:30am in the Don Shula Sports Center
  
  
• Track Dedication starts at 9:15am with Race beginning at 9:30am
