The Department of University Marketing and Communications has primary responsibility for releasing information to the news media. Major incidents and emergencies may draw interest from local or national media. It is of paramount importance that only accurate, factual information is released. Incorrect or incomplete information could be detrimental to the University, its employees, and students.
