John Carroll University is required to provide the university community with information in a timely fashion regarding criminal activity that might represent an ongoing threat to the safety of the students and employees.
Those crimes that would require a timely notification are: murder, sex offenses - forcible and non-forcible, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, manslaughter, and arson.
The manner in which this information is conveyed may include, but are not limited to: e-mail notification, Carroll News articles, Campus Watch newsletters, and fliers posted on campus.
Fliers will be formatted similar to the one seen here. Notice of property crimes will be printed on bright lime green paper. Notice of crimes against a person will be printed on pink paper. When circumstances allow, they will also display the validation stamp from the Office of Student Activities.
Students, faculty, and staff should be attentive to the information that is contained in these notifications. Anyone with relevant information concerning the notices is encouraged to call Campus Police at (216) 397-4600 or the Tip Line at (216) 397-1515.
