Getting and staying involved is one of the most important things you can do while in college. "Involvement" is defined as any activity outside the classroom which enhances and contributes to student learning. Being involved can take many forms, from being a member of a student club or organization to participating in a research project with a faculty member, or volunteering at a local social service agency. It really does not matter how you are involved, it only matters that you are! So get out there and find something you are passionate or curious about and share your time and talents with the organization. You will feel more connected to the university and your college experience and the organization will also benefit from your gifts and skills.
