Definition of a Student Organization
A group of students joined together in the pursuit of a common
purpose that supports the mission, goals, and values of John Carroll
University and the Office of Student Activities. All student organizations
must follow University policies and procedures listed within the
Community Standards Manual and Student Organization Guide, as
well as those set forth by the Office of Student Activities and Office
of the Student Union.
Mission of a Student Organization
Student organizations provide a great opportunity for students
to enhance their classroom learning and to develop their leadership
skills outside the classroom. Through this enhanced learning,
students are able to integrate the experiences and knowledge of
the classroom with everyday experiences of living and working
in a society of people with various interests, ideas, and values.
