REACH OUT

Purpose:

The purpose of Reach Out shall be to raise awareness of the situation affecting the lives of millions of children living in Uganda and to bring a message of hope and inspiration to students at John Carroll University and other schools in the community through the documentary stories produced by Invisible Children, Inc. Reach Out also will raise funds for the Visible Child Scholarship Program through the Schools for Schools initiative and in other various forms of fundraising activities to help Invisible Children, Inc. further promote their goals. Finally, Reach Out will encourage young people to change the thought of "Me Against the World" to "Me and the World" through actions that will promote the purpose of the organization, foster personal development, and encourage intellectual growth of all persons involved.

 

 

Events/Activities:

Screenings of the documentaries produced by Invisible Children; "Be A Hero" Costume Party; various fundraising activities throughout the year

 

 

Meetings: Reach Out will meet the first Monday of each month at 6:00pm in the Office of Multicultural Activities (OMA) Lounge in the Lombardo Student Center.
