ORIENTATION STAFF

Want to find out how to get connected to the Carroll community?  Need to find where your classes will be located?  Curious how the transition from high school to college will play out? 

The New Student Orientation Staff, affectionately referred to as the “O-Staff,” is here for you
every step of the way.  This absolutely phenomenal group of undergraduate students
acts as guides, small group leaders, and most importantly as resources for students and
parents throughout the orientation sessions.  Make sure to ask them questions – they are dedicated to helping you get to know JCU!

The O-Staff is hired after a rigorous and highly selective process.  A member of the Orientation Staff is one of most respected and sought-after positions on campus, and these are the individuals who exhibit the qualities and characteristics of what it truly means to be a John Carroll student.  They undergo extensive training over the spring semester in preparation for the summer sessions and play a large part in planning the program.

Applications for positions on the O-Staff are available each December and the final selection takes place in February.

Over the course of the spring and summer, the 14 student members of the Orientation Staff truly become like a family, and maintain relationships with each other well after their matriculation from Carroll.  To see the wonderful, friendly faces of this year’s Orientation Staff, click on any link below:
