As student affairs professionals, we realize the importance of staying connected to our students’ parents, and other care givers. Together we can guide them in their choices without choosing for them; listen to them as they share doubt or clarity; stand beside them through disappointment and loss; encourage them to take risks; help them up when they stumble; respect their individuality; and celebrate with them as they emerge into adulthood.
