N.E.O.H.O. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP

NEOHO is pleased to offer graduate students and new professionals the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for registration to the annual GLACUHO conference.

In order to be eligible, applicants must be graduate students or new professionals (1-3 years) from NEOHO member institutions in good financial standing. The Professional Development Scholarship is a one-time scholarship awarded to recipients based on applications submitted to a review committee comprised of the NEOHO Executive Board and rotating members from NEOHO that will include at least one representative from a large institution, one from a small institution, one from a public institution and one from a private institution.

The Professional Development Scholarship recipients will be required to talk about their GLACUHO experience at the business meeting and present a program about GLACUHO or a related topic at the NEOHO RA conference. If a recipient does not attend GLACUHO for any reason, the scholarship funds must be returned to NEOHO.

There are two scholarships available for GLACUHO 2008: Journeys.  One will be awarded to a graduate student and one will be awarded to a new professional. Deadline for submission is September 20, 2008. Review of applications will begin immediately and scholarships will be awarded by October 5, 2008.
