EAST LOOP SHUTTLE

The Office of Residence Life coordinates the weekend East Loop Shuttle Service that runs every Friday and Saturday when classes are in session. The shuttle travels to the following destinations: the RTA Rapid Green Line, Belvoir stop; JCU Green Road Annex next to Heinen's; LaPlace; Beachwood Place; Richmond & Mayfield Roads; Richmond Town Square; Legacy Village.

The shuttle runs on Friday night from 5:50 p.m. until 12:40 a.m. and Saturday from 11:50 a.m. until 12:40 a.m. The shuttle leaves JCU in front of the RecPlex in the Belvoir parking lot. The 24 passenger fully accessible bus is operated by Hopkins Transportation Services and will be designated as the John Carroll East Loop shuttle.

Below you will find some information about each of the locations serviced by the East Loop Shuttle.

Legacy Village

Having opened in the fall of 2003 at the corner of Richmond Road and Cedar Blvd., Legacy Village has already made a giant impact on the shopping atmosphere of the community. With ten restaurants, including Bar Louie, Brio Tuscan Grille, Bistro Joseph-Beth, The Cheesecake Factory, Stir Crazy, California Pizza Kitchen, Claddagh Irish Pub, Chipotle, The Melting Pot and Tropical Smoothie Café, you can never go hungry. And with unique stores like Apple Computer, Crate & Barrel, Dick's Sporting Goods, Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Ritz Camera, Sprint, Talbots, and Z Gallerie, you can spend hours shopping until you drop! Beachwood Place

Located just a few minutes away at the intersection of Cedar and Richmond Roads, Beachwood Place is the closest indoor mall to John Carroll. Anchored by three department stores, Dillard's, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue, Beachwood Place also features Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, American Greetings, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, Brooks Brothers, Lucky Brand, Claire's Boutique, Coach, Express, Finish Line, GAP, Guess?, J. Crew, J. Jill, Ohio Savings Bank, Pottery Barn, Starbucks, Godiva, The Limited, Things Remembered, and Victoria's Secret. Richmond Town Square
 
North on Richmond Road you'll come across Richmond Town Square, featuring Regal Cinemas (20 Screens), JCPenney, Sears, Macy's, full food court, and stores like Barnes & Noble, Payless Shoes, and GNC. LaPlace

Located adjacent to Beachwood Place Mall, LaPlace houses Borders Books, Caribou Coffee, Mitchell's Ice Cream, Sushi Rock, Ho Wah (Chinese Restaurant) among other stores and services.

JCU Green Road Annex

While most students will get on and off here to pick up their cars from the parking lot, this corner is packed with specialty eateries including: Zeppe's Pizza; Jack's Deli; Pincus Bakery; Bruegger's Bagels. Heinen's Fine Foods, a neighborhood grocery store, is also located here. Heinen's includes an array of prepared foods and an eating area upstairs.

Richmond & Mayfield Roads

While there are only a handful of businesses on this corner (Amy Joy Donuts, Vicinato's Pizza, Tasty Pizza, Dino's on Mayfield, Boston Market, Dunn's Hardware, Second Sole) this is a stop for those who want to hop aboard the RTA #9X bus, Westbound to explore the unique areas of Coventry (stores and eateries) and Little Italy (eateries and galleries). From Little Italy, Case Western Reserve University and museums of University Circle are not a far walk and the 9X continues along into this area.
