Advising

The staff of the Office of Student Activities is highly engaged in advising the Student Union, Student Union Programming Board, Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils, and the Relay For Life Leadership Team.  We are happy to offer our advising opinions to other organizations in need of counsel!

Fraternity & Sorority Community Services

Have questions about fraternity and sorority life?  Are you having problems with your affiliated organization?  Then stop by the Office of Student Activities and we'll be glad to help.

Involvement Counseling

Having a hard time finding your niche?  Want to get more involved but not sure how?  Come to the Office of Student Activities and we’ll be happy to talk with you to find out your interests and how best you may be able to get connected to the Carroll community through involvement!  You can also visit our “Get Involved!” website by clicking here.

Orientation

Image of Orientation Staffers Leaping to Help You!New Student Orientation offers a unique opportunity for all incoming students to experience life at Carroll before the start of classes.  For more information, click here or on the "Orientation" tab at the top of this page.

Streak Week also allows first-year students the opportunity to see the educational aspects of JCU, learn of its Jesuit tradition, meet fellow residents and other classmates through hall and floor meetings as well as attend social activities.  For more information, click here or on the "Streak Week" tab at the top of this page.

Posting & Publicity Approval

The Office of Student Activities enforces the posting policy for students.  This policy allows for student organizations to promote their events and activities through banners, fliers, table tents, mailbox stuffers, window painting, sidewalk chalking, floor publicity or other special demonstrations.  Bring your materials to the OSA for our stamp of approval. Programming & Campus Traditions

Image of Christmas Carroll Eve ConcertThe Office of Student Activities is heavily involved in quality programming for every student on campus.  The Office advises the Student Union Programming Board, the primary programming body on campus, and coordinates committees that work on several other campus traditions, such as Homecoming, Christmas Carroll Eve, and Senior Celebration Week.

Student Organization Recognition

A student organization can only become recognized and registered through the Student Union and the Office of Student Activities.  Several forms and applications must be completed, and a club constitution must be written before any organization will be recognized.  For more information, visit the Student Organizations section by clicking here or on the tab at the top of this page.
