The Committee on Residence Life handles all complaints and questions regarding Residence Life issues such as poor maintenance. They maintain communication with the Office of Residence Life in order to ensure that all issues are taken care of. In order to stay connected and collaborate on problems and issues the Committee attends monthly Res Life Advisory Board meetings set up by the Office of Residence Life that include representatives from SU, RHA, ORA, and a person from each building. Goals of the Committee on Residence Life include:

  • Improve the overall attractiveness of the residence halls to make them more appealing to current and potential students
  • Make improvements such as new paint, air conditioning, window screens, and new carpeting in the residence halls
  • Equip the residence halls with better lounge areas as well as areas with computers and printers accessible to the residents
  • Make all JCU residence halls handicap-accessible, specifically Murphy and Pacelli
  • Plan more social activities between the halls
  • Implement a Residence Life survey to be completed at floor meetings and hold forums where students can voice their concerns
