The Student Health Center at John Carroll University provides programs and services that provide high quality health services for students, wellness and health safety services for the institution. As the John Carroll University Student Health Center responds to a broad range of student needs, they also create windows of opportunity that can be used to educate students who will become consumers of the health system.

- Articulate knowledge and understanding of personal community health consequences of tobacco use i.e. risks of cancer, lung disease, etc.
- Demonstrate greater awareness of and concern about the effects of second hand smoke on one’s community

Articulate ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle and ways to reduce chronic disease associated with diet and low body weight

Students will be able to:
- Have knowledge of what alcohol abuse means
- Know that college students who binge drink are five times more likely to have unprotected sex
- Be aware that alcohol abuse contributes to almost 40% of all motor vehicle fatalities
- Healthy Lifestyles
Students will be able to:
- Learn how to live a balanced and healthy lifestyle
- Obtain personal health information and learn how to address areas of concern
