A major part of this program is a served dinner because it is a tradition African-American families to celebrate over a meal.  “Soul food”, a term to describe African American dinners, is more about the bonding experience than the meal.  This event will showcase a variety of art forms as they relate to Black/African American culture.  The performances will celebrate the roles of African American people and encourage everyone to celebrate Black history as American History.
