Wellness Programs and Resources >> Physical Wellness

Physical wellness involves taking responsibility and care for minor illness and also knowing when professional medical attention is necessary. To enhance your physical health, regular physical activity is needed. This will help maintain high energy levels, strengthen immune system and build healthy bones and muscles, as well as relieve stress.

The U.S. Surgeon General’s recommendation is that people of all ages obtain "a moderate amount of physical activity (e.g., 30 minutes of brisk walking or raking leaves, 15 minutes of running, or 45 minutes of playing volleyball) on most, if not all, days of the week."
