IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 10/29/08 POST-GRAD VOLUNTEER FAIR

AGENCY REPRESENTATIVES:

THANK YOU FOR REGISTERING FOR JOHN CARROLL UNIVERSITY's 2008 Post-Graduate Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. We have received your online registration and will be expecting you!

We will have over 40 organizations attending the fair representing a wide range of post-graduate service opportunities. We are also trying to promote summer service opportunities to those students who are not graduating but are interested in volunteering for an extended period of time. If your organization provides such opportunities, please bring along the appropriate materials for distribution. In addition to John Carroll University students, we will also have students from Notre Dame College and Ursuline College attending the fair.

Below are some important pieces of logistical information. You may want to print this page or save the web link for future reference. The web link is also available on our Mission and Ministry website if you are unable to find it.

SCHEDULE FOR THE EVENING:
3:30 PM - 5:15 PM - Setup in LSC Conference Room
3:30 PM - 7:00 PM - Complimentary dinner and beverages available in the Campus Ministry Conference Rm
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Fair in the LSC Conference Room

DRIVING & DIRECTIONS:
John Carroll University is located 9 miles from downtown Cleveland is easily accessible from interstates I-271 and I-480.  Our campus is also just a 15 minute walk from Cleveland RTA’s Green Line.

Unfortunately, due to high enrollment of on-campus students we are not able to offer residence hall rooms to visiting agency representatives. 

PARKING:
Agency representatives are welcome to park on-campus by requesting a visitor pass when entering the Campus via car at the Belvoir or Carroll Blvd. entrance.  Visitors are able to park in non Faculty/Staff spaces throughout campus.  Directories are available at various locations throughout campus – look for the LOMBARDO STUDENT CENTER located next to St. Francis Chapel.  The LSC Conference Room is located up the ramp from the campus bookstore located in the Lombardo Student Center.

FREE SHUTTLE:
Free parking and shuttle service will be provided from a nearby parking lot located at the intersections of Milford Rd. and North Park Blvd. (see directions). Shuttle service will be provided in a JCU navy blue mini-van. Those interested in walking from this lot can enjoy the relaxing ten minute walk through campus to the LSC Conference Room (the entrance is just to the left of St. Francis Chapel in the student center).  PLEASE NOTE: Parking is not available in Gesu Parish parking lot.
