Written References:

Faculty and Staff are often asked to provide letters of recommendations for students applying for graduate school and employment. Some guidelines from the National Association of Colleges and Employers is available: Info Here to help you.

Reference Sheets:

Other students may be putting together a reference sheet with contact information for 3-5 people, usually at least 1 faculty member and 1 person for whom they have worked. They should provide a resume to you and seek your permission before putting your name and contact information on the sheet. Feel free to ask them about the types of graduate programs or the career field and employers in which they have interest so you can be better prepared should you be contacted to serve as a reference.
