Partnering for Success Mathematics

Partnering for Success is a collaboration among several school districts, Cleveland State University, John Carroll University, Case Western Reserve University and the Greater Cleveland Educational Development Center (GCEDC) dedicated to providing high quality, first class professional development to teachers from Priority I districts. (Teachers from non-partnering districts are invited to apply and will be accepted on a space available basis.)

The Partnering for Success initiative is designed to increase content knowledge and improve teaching practice through training teams of teachers. Teachers who attend PFS make a 2 year commitment (summer 2008 and 2009). Two day face to face sessions will be held during the 2008-2009 academic year along with one semester of online work. (Districts must agree to pay the teacher substitutes for the face to face sessions during the school year.)

Fall/Spring 2008 - 2009 -- Geometry and Measurement

Summer 2009 -- Number and Operations; Algebraic Thinking

Fall/Spring 2009-2010 -- Probability and Statistics

Registration Notes:
